Imagine this setting ... start with the natural beauty and privacy of a national forest, where not even the sunshine is allowed in as it bounces off the tree tops, while the wildlife goes on living undisturbed century after century.
Now, in the middle of the forest, carve out a lake with hundreds of coves that just disappear into the forest. And picture the water being pristine and crystal clear ... as beautiful a lake as there is anywhere on Earth.
Finally, tucked away in one of the lake's coves, imagine a marina. Not just any marina, but he most beautiful, clean, modern, accommodating facility of its kind you've ever seen.
Welcome to Grove Marina of Laurel Lake in the Daniel Boone National Forest where the sun shines a little brighter!
Here at Grove Marina, we're really proud of what we have to offer you when you vacation with us, and we hope that pride always shows!
Every time you come back, you'll find that all of us here at Grove Marina treat you like we're glad to see you again. And it's our pleasure to make sure we're doing everything we can to make your vacation absolutely perfect!
You can get your supplies, bait and fishing license at our general store. We have a deli there, too, and the food is delicious. We have twenty-four hour security 365 days a year to guarantee peaceful mooring for boats and safe parking for cars and trailers. We have a spacious six-boat gas dock. We rent houseboats, fishing boats, pontoons and covered or non-covered slips. And you'll find that all of our boats are in excellent condition. Many of our houseboats are brand new. So, when we say "The sun shines a little brighter" at Grove Marina, we mean that everything here is just a little better than you'll find anywhere else!
One of the most unique features of Grove Marina is our "Rack & Stack" dry dock storage system. We've designed and built a hydraulic lift system that takes your boat from the edge of the water to it's own private enclosed warehouse storage slot. Just let us know when you're headed to Grove Marina and you'll find your boat waiting for you when you arrive. When you're through, just drive it up, hand us the keys, and within minutes your boat will be back in its protected rack -- it just doesn't get any better than that! Just one more way "The sun shines a little brighter" here at the Grove Marina.
Not only are we proud of our facility, we're also darn proud of Laurel Lake. It lies totally protected by the magnificent beauty of the Daniel Boone National Forest. That guarantees the waters of Laurel Lake will always remain pristine and crystal clear. Most people who come here feel that this is the most beautiful lake and spectacular setting for a water vacation they have ever seen. We agree!
Grove Marina does everything possible to make sure you feel right at home when you rent one of four luxurious houseboats. You'll find them to be newer, cleaner, and better equipped than what you have experienced anywhere else. From breakfast on the deck to sunbathing at noon -- from watching the kids splash off the side to relaxing in a picturesque shaded cover in the evening after a day of fun in the sun -- you'll love every memory of your vacation on our quality houseboats. It's your home away from home. And, like everything else we do, we make sure they are just a little better than you had expected!
Daytime activities at Laurel Lake are the best anywhere because Laurel Lake is so crystal clear it makes everything you do in the water a little more enjoyable and fun than doing it anywhere else. You'll see water skiers all the way from beginners to the more serious competitors who will enjoy the slalom course. You'll see jet skis, sail boats, pontoons and fishing boats. For those who enjoy beach activities, we even have a beautiful natural sand beach. And, or course, kids never have any trouble making their own fun just by splashing in the beautiful clear waters of Laurel Lake!
Did we just say the word fishing? You bet we did! And if you love to fish, you've sure come to the right place. Laurel Lake is a fisherman's paradise! Plentiful amounts of bass, walleye, crappie, and trout make this a year-round favorite place to drop your line.
We haven't forgotten you campers either. Grove's campground, operated by the U. S. Forestry Service, features fifty-six (56) brand new, deluxe campsites. Each with a large picnic table and grill plus electric and water hookups. There are plenty of clear restrooms with hot water showers.
So make your plans now to make Grove Marina your next vacation destination. You'll see for yourself that the trees are a little greener .. the water is a little clearer .. the fishing is a little better .. the boats are a little nicer ... the people are a little friendlier .. and "The sun shines a little brighter" here at The Grove.
