Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 10, 2026
Grove Marina, Inc. (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates grovemarina.com and provides boat slip leasing, boat rental and related marina services. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website and to the customer records we keep in order to run the marina.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you enquire, book a rental, apply for a slip, sign a lease or contact us, we may collect your name, postal address, email address, telephone number, emergency contact details, vessel information (make, model, length, registration or hull number), insurance details, and the contents of messages you send us.
Lease and slip records. If you lease a slip or dry-dock space we keep records of the slip assigned, lease start and end dates, renewal history, fees and payment status, and any documents you provide such as proof of insurance or vessel registration.
Payment information. Payments are processed by third-party payment providers. We receive confirmation of payment and limited details such as the last four digits of a card and the transaction result. We do not store complete card numbers on our systems.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the website we and our service providers may collect your IP address, browser type and version, device information, pages viewed, referring page, and the date and time of your visit, including through cookies and similar technologies.
2. How we use your information
- To provide the services you have asked for — processing bookings, assigning slips, preparing and renewing leases, and taking payment.
- To communicate with you about your booking, lease, renewal dates, marina operations, safety or weather notices, and to answer your questions.
- To keep accurate business, accounting and tax records.
- To operate, maintain, secure and improve our website and services.
- To comply with law, enforce our agreements, and establish or defend legal claims.
- With your consent, to send marketing about marina services and events. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by contacting us.
3. When we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:
- Service providers who work on our behalf — website hosting, email delivery, payment processing, booking and scheduling software, and accounting services — and only as needed to perform those services.
- Insurers, professional advisers and auditors where reasonably required.
- Legal and safety reasons — where required by law, court order or lawful request, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of any person, or to investigate suspected fraud or misuse.
- Business transfers — if the marina or its assets are sold or reorganised, customer records may transfer as part of that transaction.
4. How we protect your information
We take reasonable steps designed to protect the personal information we hold from loss, misuse and unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. These include restricting access to customer records to people who need it to do their jobs, using encrypted connections for our website, working with reputable service providers, and reviewing our systems and access controls.
However, no method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure, and we cannot and do not guarantee the absolute security of your information. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk, and we are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures. If we become aware of a security incident affecting your personal information, we will respond in accordance with applicable law.
If you believe your interaction with us is no longer secure, or you have reason to think information you gave us has been compromised, please contact us immediately using the details below.
5. How long we keep information
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide our services and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, accounting, insurance and tax obligations, to enforce our agreements, and to resolve disputes. Lease and payment records are generally retained longer than website enquiry records.
6. Your choices and rights
- Access and correction — you may ask what personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct anything inaccurate.
- Deletion — you may ask us to delete information, subject to records we are required or permitted to keep.
- Marketing — you may unsubscribe from marketing at any time. We will still send you messages necessary to administer your lease or booking.
- Cookies — most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies. Some parts of the site may not work properly if you do.
To exercise any of these, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
7. Children
Our website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
8. Third-party websites
Our website may link to sites we do not operate. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites, and we encourage you to read their policies.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the “Last updated” date above, and where changes are significant we will take reasonable steps to tell you.
